Dashcam installation day: what to prepare before we arrive

Our installs are mobile — we come to your home or workplace anywhere across Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong. A few minutes of prep makes the job quicker and neater.

Park somewhere shaded with room to open both front doors. Shade matters: adhesive mounts bond best on glass that isn't baking in the sun.

Clean the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror. A quick wipe with glass cleaner removes the film that stops a mount from gripping properly.

Have a high-endurance SD card ready (32GB–256GB). Standard phone cards are not built for continuous recording and are the number one cause of corrupted footage.

For hardwired installs, make sure the fuse box is accessible — that usually means clearing the passenger footwell or the boot, depending on the vehicle.

Decide your coverage before we arrive: front only, front + rear, or a 3-channel setup with a cabin camera for rideshare driving. We're happy to talk it through on the phone first.
